Rafael V. S. Bastos
Founder & Psychometrician
I'm a PhD Student in Psychological Assessment at São Francisco University (SP - Campinas - Brazil). I hold a Masters in Psychological assessment, and a bachelors in Psychology. As a psychologist with a strong interest in quantitative methods and psychometrics, I am committed to advancing research quality through the promotion of best practices. I started working with consultancy on 2018, for both persons and organizations. I’m head of ReproducibiliTea-Campinas, and I’m involved with the initiative called Advancing Big-team Reproducible Science through Increased Representation (ABRIR). I have been a vocal advocate for good research methodologies and the rigorous psychometric testing. My current aim is to expand my focus to include the study of research practices within the field. With extensive experience teaching statistics and psychometrics at both undergraduate and graduate levels, I have a proven track record of fostering a deep understanding of these subjects among students. I have published numerous peer-reviewed papers, serve as a peer reviewer, and am an advocate for open and reproducible science. Collaborating with various groups, I am dedicated to driving meaningful changes in psychological research.
